To “optimize” Burro for the tasks it will be performing, you can fine-tune Burro’s visual model parameters by selecting a profile that best corresponds to the row crop or environment in which Burro will be operating autonomously.

Selecting a profile

To optimize Burro for your specific use case, follow these steps to select a profile:

1. Select a Profile
   

   Choose a profile that is appropriate for your use case from the available options.

   
2. Apply Changes
   

   Click on the “Apply Changes” button.

3. Wait for Completion
   

   Wait for the process to complete before proceeding. This may take a few moments as Burro updates its visual model parameters.

Impact of Selected Profiles

Depending on the profile selected, this will affect how Burro’s autonomy performs in the following modes and functionalities:

• Row Navigation (RowNav)
• Row to Row
• Obstacle Handling

Performance Differences

The differences in Burro’s performance between these profiles are slight regarding obstacle handling but greatly affect the performance of Row Navigation and Row to Row modes.

Example: The grape model will not run well in blueberry rows, potentially resulting in issues such as: - Frequent stops - Improper centering - Missing row ends

Experimental Profiles

Some profiles are currently experimental and may not perform well at this time (e.g., Kiwi, Stone Fruit).

Patrol Profile

The “Patrol” profile is primarily used with Burro’s Guard Dog functionality, enabling Burro to operate more effectively at night.
